Merven is a specialist claims professional with over 14 solid years of experience in the insurance industry working solely with renowned and reputable international insurance companies prior to joining Wereck.

His 14 years of experience includes 8 years with international Insurance Company, AIG, and balance of 6 years with international insurance broking firm, Marsh Ltd.

Merven is Wereck’s most senior Claims officer having joined in April 2021.

Merven handles all types and facets of insurance policy claims where he assesses and manages claims from notification all the way to finalisation. He has managed claims of some of the very large companies in Papua New Guinea including the likes of Oil Search Ltd, Barrick Niugini Ltd, Newcrest Mining Ltd, Total E&P, Total Oil Asia Pacific, WR Carpenter Group, NBPOL Group, Nambawan Super Ltd, National Fisheries Authority, Kenmore Group, Fletcher Morobe and many more.

Merven holds a Certificate IV in Financial Services (General Insurance) from the Australian & New Zealand Insurance Institute of Insurance and Finance.
